At Luchi & Mutton’s, we believe in empowering pet parents and dog guardians to help their dogs live their best lives. This includes providing professional and expert support across canine nutrition and behaviour. We aim to engage with clients in a way that’s holistic, authentic, and inclusive. This entails:

Engaging with the dog as a sentient being, a sum of their biopsychosocial environment, and not just as a behaviour/health condition that they might be presenting currently

Working as thought partners and collaborators with pet parents/dog guardians to help them build empathetic, trusting, and long-term relationships with their dogs by:

Building awareness and educating pet parents/dog guardians by sharing evidence and rationale for recommendations made, latest research, scientific papers, and other relevant resources

Involving and coaching clients every step of the way in meeting their dog’s needs

Providing ongoing feedback during the period of engagement to help them build new habits with their dogs

Celebrating small and big wins that pet parents/guardians accomplish with during their engagement period with us

Creating safe, non-judgemental spaces for pet parents/dog guardians to discuss their challenges and be vulnerable

Personalising support for individual clients depending on their needs, bandwidth, access, and convenience wherever relevant and possible

Collaborating with or connecting clients to other professionals in the field where our expertise is limited or non-existent; working closely with these professionals to ensure an appropriate handover of information, setting up joint check-ins to review the effectiveness of interventions etc

Accurately and effectively documenting and organizing information shared by clients

Respecting confidentiality across all information shared by clients and using information only with the client’s permission & consent

Prioritizing & advocating for the welfare of dogs across all channels of communication which includes:

Encouraging:

A fresh food diet for dogs

Opportunities to express natural behaviours like chewing, sniffing, barking etc

Use of safe, anatomically sound, and non-aversive walking equipment for dogs

Calm, quiet, and safe interactions with other dogs

Lifestyle and environment changes that meet the dog’s needs

Creating safe physical environments for the dog, during enrichment and, consultations, and coaching pet parents to do the same

Rescheduling sessions in case the dog isn’t in the physical and mental state to communicate and engage

Rescheduling sessions in case we are not in the physical and mental state to communicate and engage

Creating fresh meals that are species-appropriate personalised, wherever applicable) using high-quality raw materials and resources
-
Manufacturing and selling species appropriate food products that keep the dog’s well being and health at the centre

Provide guidance on the long-term use of antibiotics and steroids and over vaccinations for dogs, in collaboration with other medical professionals and with the support of research and scientific findings

Transparently and honestly communicating about our business and its accomplishments:

Continually educating ourselves in the relevant disciplines, routinely attending conferences with national and international professionals and accordingly upgrading our offerings

Displaying and communicating professional qualifications clearly and accurately. In the event of any expiration, members commit to renewing if critical to offering services or communicate the expiration to clients
